As the daughter of trail-blazing parents, Anne learned from her pioneering Tuskegee Airman father and Head Start-teacher-trainer mother, what it means to use your talents as a leader to leave a lasting legacy. Her own legacy includes impressive accolades and awards in several fields including corporate, non-profit management, fashion, sports and entertainment, aging services, and personal growth and development.

Previously a non-profit executive, Anne served as Vice President of Development in higher education at the State University of New York New Paltz and subsequently in the aging service industry. In 2000, Anne launched the still thriving, Community Foundation of Orange & Sullivan Counties in the Hudson Valley region of New York, as its founding CEO & Executive Director.

The Emmy-award-winning talk show host and corporate spokesperson has been using her commanding presence and voice to communicate messages for the likes of PNC Bank, US Airways, Carnegie Museum, VanGogh Museum (Amsterdam), Kettering Foundation’s National Issues Forum, Oracle, and the global health and wellness company, Isagenix. Anne now uses her voice to empower gifted adults, employees and members within organizations such as Abbott Vascular, TD Bank, National Professionals Network, and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. She is especially committed to impacting the lives of young people as evidenced by her work with youth mentoring programs like Year Up. Audiences walk away from her talks transformed—clear that they have gifts, eager to find their voice and empowered to joyfully claim the greatness they are capable of achieving.

For several years, Anne has served on numerous boards in leadership capacities, including the Orange County Partnership, SUNY New Paltz Foundation, the Community Foundation of Orange County, and the Orange County Parks Master Plan Task Force. She helped to found the Non-Profit Institute of Leadership & Management at SUNY Orange.

Her professional affiliations include Leadership America, Association of Fund Raising Professionals, Screen Actor’s Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, eWomen Network North America’s Next Greatest Speaker Finalist, and she is a Tribute to Women of Achievement honoree.

Anne graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She also studied business communications at Emerson College in Boston, and did post-graduate work in journalism at Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania.

Anne considers by far her greatest mentoring achievement to be raising two incredible young adults. Her son, graduated from Georgetown University, is a successful entrepreneur of a health and fitness franchise, and in 2014 completed the World Championship Ironman competition in Kona, Hawaii. Her daughter, is a Phi Beta Kappa Stanford University graduate, former US Women’s Rugby All-American, and is on track to live her dream as a professor, currently doing her Master’s and Ph.D. studies at Princeton University.
